Wine tasting evening
The wine tasting on the 21 April 2007 was a very memorable evening blessed by weather that allowed us to sit out on the patio. The 30 participants took part in a quiz devised by our experienced and knowledgeable sommelier, Jean-Marc Heurliere.
It gave us the excuse to sip excellent wines and compete against the other teams to win a bottle of champagne which had been kindly donated by Fernham Farm. Six bottles of superior quality wine encouraged people to be very generous when they were buying raffle tickets.
We have raised almost £180 for Project Inspire - so well done to everyone who worked so hard to make it such a fun event. We are particularly grateful to Jean-Marc and his wife Karen, as we were not charged the full amount for the wines which meant that they contributed £100.
