A horde of children, dressed in Halloween attire, accompanied by some equally ghoulish parents, collected a hoard of goodies around Fernham on Halloween night.
A large group gathered at Nicola and Fletch's house, where some flashing necklaces were handed around, and then the ensemble set forth to spread good-natured terror from one end of Fernham to the other.
Early on in the rounds, the ghastly gang called in at the pub, where scary witch Kay Nunn lay in wait, with plenty of yummy treats. At one house, they were met by hooded man with no face (yikes!) and, at another, they seemed to have found a lair of spiders and bats, and a particularly scary man wearing an eye patch greeted them with spooky good humour. At The Parry's house, they discovered a low stone wall covered in creepy crawlies - thankfully plastic - which they were encouraged to collect and take home.
The evening ended with the annual visitation to B's - where everyone enjoyed refreshments. Many thanks to one and all for welcoming all the groups of trick-or-treaters.
