2006 Fernham fete
Our fete on Saturday, 10 June, was a huge success, raising £747 for village funds.
We had bric-a-brac, books, plants, CDs, games, children's sports, a barbecue, a bar including a TV to watch the England game, tea and cakes, candy floss, a chocolate fountain, a raffle and even Japanese calligraphy!
In the evening, after clearing away all the stalls and gamees, many of us returned to The Green for dinner. The adults enjoyed a delicious curry while the children had barbecued burgers. It was a very enjoyable way to round off a wonderful (hot!) day.
Many thanks to everyone who organised the fete, ran stalls and games, donated things, provided food and refreshments - and came and enjoyed themselves.
